NRF has granted WSAFC - Western Springs Association Football Club’s request for this week’s Premier and Reserves fixtures v Auckland United FC to be postponed.
“We consider this request meets the ‘exceptional circumstances’ threshold for postponement set out in the competition regulations, out of compassion and concern for the players’ mental, physical and overall welfare given the current situation,” said NRF CE Laura Menzies.
“We acknowledge the postponement’s disruption and will continue to work with all parties to help resolve this situation.”
Our Auckland United FC Premier Women were scheduled to be back in action on Friday night vs Western Springs AFC and following the bye last weekend would have been fresh for this Round 7 Lotto NRFL matchup.
Currently atop the table with 5 wins and a solitary loss so far this season, the team are in great form and will be looking to maintain their lead over Eastern Suburbs, who sit just 2 points adrift in 2nd place and have a tough assignment away this weekend vs Hamilton Wanderers.
