The Auckland United Development Programme offers a tremendous opportunity for players seeking a good level of coaching and a more competitive environment. Participating in our Development Programme, players can experience a step up from the community level and receive guidance from Academy coaches throughout the season. This continuous monitoring allows for personalised feedback and improvement. Additionally, there is the potential for trial opportunities and even invitations to join the Academy later in the year, which can provide further professional coaching, development and exposure.

Background to the Auckland United Talent Centre
- Development Programme
The Auckland United Talent Centre has been launched as an incorporation of the Academy and Development Programmes under the one umbrella
and to provide a clearer pathway for aspirational and committed junior and youth players.
At Auckland United, we offer more than just a place to play football, we provide a clear pathway for players determined to reach their full potential.
Whether you're an emerging talent or seeking a fresh challenge to elevate your game, our programme is designed to help you grow, both on and off the field.
We place equal emphasis on developing technical football skills as well as strong character, resilience, and life skills that will benefit our players in all areas of life.
We are immensely proud of the continued success and growth of the Development Programme. In 2023, six talented players made the transition to the Academy, and in 2024, that number rose to eight, with an additional four players joining the Term 4 Academy Summer Programme. This growth is a testament to the effectiveness of our Development Programme and the hard work and dedication of both our players and coaching staff.
Thank you for your ongoing support. We are excited for what 2026 will bring and look forward to another year of growth, achievement, and success.
