Three new signings for Auckland United FC Premier Men

Auckland United FC is delighted to announce the signing of three fantastic new players to bolster our Premier Men’s squad for the remainder of the season.

Oliver Colloty

Aged 20, Oliver joins us from Wellington Olympic and has had a dynamic journey in football thus far.

Oliver's scoring prowess was evident early on, as he netted 18 goals in 22 appearances for Christchurch United in 2021, earning him the Youth Player of the Year award in the Mainland Premier League.

The following year, playing for Melville United AFC in the Northern League, he scored 20 goals in 31 games, contributing significantly to their qualification for the National League.

In 2023 he spent six months in England, primarily training at Barnsley FC and undergoing trials with various clubs, gaining valuable experience at a high level. Following this, he joined Auckland City FC for a stint in August 2023.

Internationally, Oliver has made an impact with the New Zealand U-20 team, amassing 13 caps and scoring 11 goals. Notably, he shared the Golden Boot with Kian Donkers at the OFC U-19 Championship in 2022, where he scored a decisive brace in New Zealand's 3-0 victory over Fiji in the title match.

We look forward to Oli bringing his talent and experience to Auckland United FC this season!

“I’m delighted to welcome Oli into the squad for the remainder of the season. He’s played with a number of our players during the NZ U20 cycle and it’s been an easy transition for him into the environment. We look forward to seeing him lead the attacking line and add extra experience and quality to our attack” - José Figueira, Head Coach.

Will Mendoza

AUFC Academy Graduate Will Mendoza re-joins us from fellow Northern League Club Bay Olympic AFC where he played upon his return to New Zealand for his US College break.

After deciding to return to New Zealand to continue his studies in Auckland it was a no brainer for Will to return “home” to play his football.

“I’m delighted to welcome Will back to the club. His energy, enthusiasm and quality in the middle of the pitch is a great boost for us as we enter the second half of the season. After playing at the club and our Academy since a young age, Will has had no problems fitting back into the environment and we look forward to him showcasing himself back out on Keith Hay Park” - José Figueira, Head Coach.

Ry McLeod

We are also delighted to welcome Ry McLeod who joins us from fellow Northern League Club Melville United.

The exciting 19 year old attacker who had a standout season in 2023 with Melville also made the move to Napier City Rovers for the National League phase last year.

“Ry is an exciting player who can play anywhere across the front line with a profile that fits how we play both with and without the ball.” - José Figueira, Head Coach.
