U14 Girls Claim South Island Football Tournament Title

What a successful Tournament Season it has been for Auckland United FC Academy teams with our U13, U14 and U16 teams all having successful competitions.

Our U14 Girls traveled to Christchurch to compete at the U14 South Island Football Tournament.

Our Girls, led by Kate McConnell, went through the group stage unbeaten playing some incredible football and turning heads against clubs from all around New Zealand.

After a busy group stage the girls booked a finals spot to face local favorites Nomads United F.C.

Our Girls were up for the final with a resounding 6-1 win to claim the title!

Special mention to Mietta Conway who was awarded Team Most Valuable Player and to Isla Robson who was awarded Tournament Golden Boot!

A huge thank you to Academy Super Coach Kate McConnell who has led tournaments around New Zealand over the past few weeks and has done an amazing job.
