Auckland United FC’s Under 23 team are all under 17

Auckland United FC’s Men’s U23 side is packed full of U17 academy graduates and is currently 5 from 5 this season after beating Auckland City for the first time in this league. (won 2-1).

Coached by Mark Atkinson (Head Coach) and Joseph Turagabeci (Assistant Coach) the side has amassed an incredible 24 goals in just 5 league games, with more than half the team having been a part of the club’s Academy programme since 10 years old!

Auckland United FC uses the U23 side as an extension of the Academy pathway, with the entire team being talented U17 players, a number of which are already training full time with the clubs first team.
